The Common Core in public education offers an effective plan for enhancing student performance.

To have an effective plan for education you need to recognize the need to educate the individual. The US government is too far from the individual student, its role should be funding and safety and fairness across all socioeconomic groups through programs like charter schools. The curriculum, and methods of measuring performance should be left to the counties and states as they can better design a plan that will work for local needs.
