Immigration law is surely a hot-button concern. Alabama is probably the most recent state to pass brand new legislation. Parts of the regulation have already been stopped, however. A young man and his eight-year-old son were recently killed not far from my home. They died because an illegal immigrant, with two previous arrests for drunken driving, ran a stop light and killed them. I imagine the man's widow who has lost her only child would wish that this person, in the country illegally and violating the laws, had been removed after his first drunk driving arrest. She would still have her family.
