Privacy Policy Statement

iCitizenForum, presented as an Education for Citizenship initiative by The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation (“COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG”), respects your privacy, and we want you to understand the ways in which we do and don’t use the information that you transmit when you visit this Web site. By visiting iCitizenForum, you agree to the terms andconditions of this privacy policy.

Information We Collect and Store

For each visitor to our Web site, our Web server automatically recognizes the user’s domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). We collect domain names in order to assess aggregate information regarding pages that users visit. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web site and is not shared with other organizations.

How We Use Information

We may use pixels or transparent GIF files to help manage our online advertising. These files enable us and our advertising partner to recognize unique codes on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our Web site. The information that we collect and share is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address.

Personally Identifiable Information

iCitizenForum will only collect personal information that you knowingly and voluntarily disclose when, for example, you create a profile page, participate in discussion boards, or sign up to receive information.

Children’s Privacy Act

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

  • Offline Information: We do not collect personally identifiable offline contact information from children.
  • Third Party Distribution: We do not distribute to third parties any personally identifiable information from children.

Outside Links

Links to other Web sites are occasionally provided as a convenience for our users and their inclusion does not imply iCitizenForum’s endorsement of content or responsibility for use of these sites. Please carefully read all terms and conditions of each Web site you visit.
